Students in my grade 4 Design and Technology class create their own version of a "Floor is Lava" parkour style game in CoSpaces Edu. This project is based on CoSpace Edu's "Games - CoSpaces Edu key application" YouTube video. I've adapted this lesson to focus on specific game mechanics. Students learn how to build and program the following game mechanics:
A theme incorporated into the game design.
A welcome message and instructions.
A reset zone (the "lava").
At least 3 different moving obstacles or platforms.
A winner zone with a congratulatory message or scene displayed at the end.
A lives counter displayed on the screen.
